-- Hello everyone. So....We're in the process of making 2006 a BIG year. The 1st thing you can look forward to is the release of "Slit Jockey Records Mixtape Vol 1" on January 10th in the U.S. and January 16th Worldwide. You can peep a clip of my "Leak Riddim feat Kano" on MySpace right now. There are also exclusives on the Slit Jockey MySpace page.....Dev79 feat Ghetto and El Carnicero feat Riko. The Slit Jockey site will be updated in the next day or so with a complete tracklist and PayPal pre-orders. ~~~ Some other great Slit Jockey releases and Starkbot beats are slated for 2006.....so stay tuned. `(( Tomorrow night is the Winter Dopeland edition of Seclusiasis' Straight Dope party at the Khyber. -- If you haven' heard....I won the North American Laptop Battle Championship in Seattle this past weekend. It was a great time...all of the competitors were top notch. Here are some highlights of my journey to Seattle. On Thursday I spent most of the day at the Red Bull Music Academy. Friday was the last day they were in time, and Kris Moon (my host), was working with them. I got to sit in on a lecture from Steve Spacek.....seems like a really great guy. I got to meet a bunch of people from countries all over the world who were taking party in the 2 week long event. Thursday night I played Robotrash, a weekly electronic party at Mantra. Since Red Bull was there.....I was able to get a recording of my hour set. (It's alright .....I was pretty damn tired at this point. Some of the mixes will appear on an upcoming dj set for Trouble and Bass.) Then I went to do a live interview on KEXP, one of Seattle's big radio stations. Both M.O. (one of the contestants from Seattle) and I did short live sets on the air. You can stream the interview and sets for the next week at the KEXP website. (just type in Friday, December 9th....at 1:37am). ---- Friday was pretty crazy as well. I met the people at Zion's Gate (a big indie record store in Seattle) ...then it was off to the battle. After the battle I was asked to play this speakeasy after party. (Big ups Scott for the ride.) I showed up ....played a 15 minute brutal set. People were really hype. Saturday was spent around Seattle, meeting up with people, meeting good people for the 1st time....and relaxing. Thank you everyone who made my stay in Seattle a really enjoyable one!

-- So...the Lady Sov show was pretty crazy. To give you the quick story...the place was packed...she only played 1 song because she felt the monitors and soundsystem was inadequate....most people were pretty upset....Dev79 and I pretty much rocked it all night long. Thanks to everyone who has been giving us good feedback for our holding it down on Thursday night. ~~``` This week is my trip to Seattle. -- Heeeyyyyyy!!!!! So...what a crazy week. Sorry I've been away from the site all week, but we've been busy. Monday Dev79 & I took the Slit Jockey sound to NYC's Rothko. Tuesday night, it was up to Blizzarts in Montreal. Thursday was our Philly record release party for the sj001 split 7". Friday morning we met up with Kano and Ghetto at their hotel in New York. Friday night we interviewed Roll Deep before their first ever U.S. show at the Knitting Factory. Saturday afternoon was the outdoor show in ny w/ Kano, Ghetto, Roll Deep and Juelz Santana....then Saturday night was Kano and Ghetto at the Knitting Factory. Sunday was our Stay Home radio show on RadioVolta.org......we featured half of our Kano and Ghetto interview w/ an exclusive freestyle and our interview with Roll Deep which included a Flow Dan freestyle. -- So....the wait is over. There will be official Starkey releases out this year!! ~ The secret is out.....Dev79, El Carnicero and I have started a label called, "Slit Jockey Records." We will be releasing exclusive, limited run white labels of stateside grime. US producers' perspectives w/ guest vocalists from all over. The 1st release is a split 7" that features Dev79's "From the Get" and my track "Less Than Paper" featuring Philly MC, Zilla. 79's track is grimey at heart, but carries a ghetto-tech feeling. My track is an IDM/break/grime hybrid that morphs into a straight out grime banger at the end. We've got some more great releases planned for the near future. The 1st record will be available towards the end of July. Make sure you pick up a copy during the Dev79 & Starkey (Slit Jockey/Seclusiasis) tour dates this summer. Also....previously announced.....Kid Magnet Records out of Australia will be dropping my track "Read Your Mind" on their 1st Clutteridge 12", due out in August. This series will feature tracks with a grimey tendency. The 1st release will also feature Minikomi, cow'p, and NYC's Drop the Lime (one of the sickest "FM" sets ever).

So...as we announced last night, our floor of "IN" is going to be moving to Silk City every 2nd Thursday of the month starting in June. We are going to have the jump-off party for the new spot, however, on May 18th....it's a Wednesday night. The 2nd Thursday in May was already booked there. The party, keeping with recent times, is going to be called "Get IN". *^$....
